Grasp it
Mathew 13:4 As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up.
Sometimes we never catch it.  
Ephesians 3:18 may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ,
Hebrews 3:15 As has just been said: “Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts as you did in the rebellion.”

Irrigate”
Planting a tree
Prepare the soil and provide lots of water.  
It’s Dry and the ground is hard

Transition: Hebrews 6:7,8  Land that drinks in the rain often falling on it and that produces a crop useful to those for whom it is farmed receives the blessing of God. But land that produces thorns and thistles is worthless and is in danger of being cursed. In the end it will be burned.

Ruminate
Mathew 13:5 Some fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly, because the soil was shallow. 6 But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered because they had no root.
