2 Corinthians 5:17 says “Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.” 
Revelation 21:5 He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, ” Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”

Human Nature Clings to the Comfort Zone
Proverbs 26:11 As a dog returns to its vomit, so fools repeat their folly.
Galatians 5:1 It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.

Resist the Right Things
1 Thessalonians 5:19 Do not quench the Spirit;
